Rules: 1. Juniors are under 19 (19 years and younger) 2. Athletes must stay on the right-hand side of the road at all times, unless instructed otherwise by the Marshals or Traffic Officers. 3. Athletes must participate in their correct club colours and display their ASA 2023 license numbers on the FRONT and BACK of their vest. The only other permissible numbers are 2023 LIMA temporary numbers displayed on the front of the vest. 4. NO advertising allowed. 5. No seconding from cyclists or private vehicles will be allowed on the route. Personnel seconding will only be permitted within 1m on either side of the refreshment station. 6. All foreign athletes must comply with WA rule 4.2 and 142 Foreign athletes must produce a letter from their respective Federation permitting them to participate in this race. 7. No earphones (WA Rule 144.2b) or animals (ASA Rule 21.4.1) allowed on the marathon route. 8. The Race is held under the rules of ASA and WA. All competitors must comply with the rules, regulations and instructions given by officials, marshals and traffic officials. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification. The race referee’s decision is final. The race organisers reserve the right to accept or reject any entry received. 9. Age category Tags (e.g from 40, 50, 60 & 70) must be worn on the front and back of vests worn by athletes competing for the age category prizes. 10.Age category winners must produce acceptable proof of age. The minimum age for 21km is 16 years of age on race day. 11. All road races and fun runs are held under the rules of the ASA and LIMA Athletes indemnify the national, provincial and regional bodies, sponsors and organizers and the owners of the venue of the race against any risk or loss of whatsoever nature, that may arise out of their participation in the race. 12. All athletes participate at their own risk. Athletes acknowledge by entering the event that they are medically fit to participate. 13 . All athletes must supply the name and contact number of their next of kin on both the race number and the entry form. 14. No mechanically operated devices, roller-blades or cyclists allowed on any route. 15. All Payments Under This Agreement Will Be Non-Refundable 16. Any prize not redeemed for any reason within two weeks of notification will be forfeited by the intended recipient. 17. Any objection for the winning category must be lodged in writing to the official referees of the race. An appeal will be accompanied by R500.00 which will be forfeited if the appeal is not upheld. 18. The race organisers retain the right to refuse entry to and/or eject any persons under the influence of alcohol, or for any offensive or inappropriate conduct. 19. All personal information will be processed and maintained in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act
